Long before Lodi and its vineyards existed, Sandhill Cranes migrated from distant Siberia to warm themselves in California’s rich wetlands. Named after these stunning birds, this Sauvignon Blanc hails from the great 2020 vintage, which produced seriously ripe and flavorful grapes. With a shimmering, silvery hue and vibrant, tropical- and citrus-fruit notes, this is a wine worth flocking to buy.

We credit its success to its talented creator, Doug Roosevelt. Doug used the best, hand-harvested fruit he could get, all sourced from top, family-owned vineyard sites across Lodi. His trademark, kid-glove approach in the cellar (like cool fermenting in a steel tank) locked in all the grape’s refreshing qualities, and led to a bronze-medal win at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Look forward to abundant aromas and flavors of melon and white peach soaring from your glass. Plan to serve this lovely Sauvignon Blanc well chilled, on its own or with creamy goat cheese (the classic match). We also think grilled white fish with a squeeze of lemon would be dynamite.
