Roche Bellemont Blanc 2020
Roche Bellemont Blanc 2020
- Provence - France
- 2020 - Rolle-based blend
- 12.5 % Alc - 750 ml
Most wine enthusiasts prize France’s Provence region for its fine rosé. But did you know that Provence also produces beautifully crisp, fresh whites? They’re a rarity—only 5% of the wine made in Provence is white—but if you can get your hands on them, you’re in for something special.
That’s where we come in. Our expert, Sarah Everden, goes way back with winemaker Mathieu Lacroix and his team at Les Vignerons d’Aix en Provence, one of the region’s most respected cellars. And she can’t wait for you to taste their elegant Roche Bellemont white.
Mathieu and his team crafted Roche Bellemont from Rolle (aka Vermentino) and Grenache Blanc grown on the estate’s oldest vines. These low-yielding plants yield precious few grapes, but the fruit they do produce is deliciously concentrated. The vineyards’ higher altitude also plays a role, locking in vibrancy and freshness.
The final wine is absolutely stunning—and we’re not the only ones who think so. Gilbert & Gaillard judges awarded it 90 points and a gold medal: “Appealing nose marrying spring flowers, white-fleshed fruits and a mineral note...A very pleasant wine.”
Perfect for sipping well-chilled on the patio or pairing with seafood, summer salads and more. But no matter how you plan to enjoy this rare Provence white, get your order in soon. We have very few cases to share.
