Palumbo Riserva 2012
Palumbo Riserva 2012
- Puglia and South - Italy
- 2012 - Nero di Troia
- 13.5 % Alc - 750 ml
As head winemaker for Italy’s renowned Torrevento estate, Leonardo Palumbo has crafted his share of impressive wines. It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that his regular ‘Palumbo’ became a BIG customer favorite. To say thanks for your support, Leonardo has made an even more luxurious Riserva version for you.
Leonardo crafted his Riserva from 100% Nero di Troia, grown in Puglia’s premium Castel del Monte subregion. Nero di Troia positively thrives here—so much so, that Riserva wines from the region were granted full DOCG status in 2011. (That’s Italy’s highest wine classification.)
Aged for 18 months in barrel, Palumbo Riserva brims with concentrated, spicy black-fruit flavors. One sip and you’ll understand why Gilbert & Gaillard judges rated it 90 points.
Leonardo says his elegant Riserva is the perfect red for your Sunday table, and we agree. Pair it with a classic roast, hearty pasta dishes and more.
Italian reds are in very high demand with our customers, and given the success of the original Palumbo, this fine Riserva is sure to sell fast. Order today.
