The Fernández de Manzanos family have made world-class wine in Spain’s premium Rioja region since 1890. Today, brothers Victor and David are at the helm – alongside head winemaker Borja Ripa – and they’re passionate about continuing their family’s legacy of excellence.
Normally, Tempranillo’s the big star in Rioja. But that’s part of what makes this luscious beauty so special: it was made with pure Garnacha grown in a 15-year-old organic vineyard. It’s also Borja’s favorite grape to work with, so he has an especially discerning eye when it comes to harvesting only the best, ripest parcels of grapes. Back in the winery, the wine gets treated to eight months in new American and French oak barrels, which adds subtle spice nuances and creates a rounded, velvety mouthfeel.
Look forward to ripe strawberry, black currant, and spicy tobacco aromas and flavors. With a rich palate and smooth tannins, it’ll be delicious on its own or served in big, pretty glasses with a Spanish-style feast of assorted tapas (or roasted lamb).
Our customers can’t get enough of the Manzanos brothers’ wines – with its organically grown provenance, it’s sure to be in high demand. Treat yourself to a few bottles today!
