Childhood friends and fourth-generation winegrowers Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier craft top Burgundy at their acclaimed Mâcon estate. However, this great-value find hails from their respected Limoux cellar down in sunny, southern France.

The fruit for this exclusive cuvée is grown in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude, the highest and coolest spot that makes “Chardonnays with presence.” The elevation of the vineyard is key because grapes are bathed in sunshine by day, yet benefit from cool temperatures at night. And because 2018 was another exceptional vintage across France, the grapes really thrived.

If tasting blind, you might mistake its elegant white peach and citrus notes for top white Burgundy. And you can enjoy it with exactly the same kinds of cuisine (salmon en croûte, grilled prawns, creamy chicken dishes … or simply on its own).
