The vines of Château Saint Louis have been worked since Roman times, and for the last 30 years, the team has practiced sustainable farming. The poor soil forces vines to bury their roots deep in search of nutrients (key to developing complex flavors), while galets roulés (the same ‘pudding stones’ found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) trap heat and release it to the vines at night, allowing the grapes to ripen fully.
